Spooon69
I have the subwoofer placed on carpet currently and heard that spikes will give me better response from my subwoofer. If thats true, where can I buy some spikes that will work with the Promedia subwoofer? If not, could you explain why. Thanks!
i luv bass
I would have to say that spikes DO enhance the subs performance and overall sound quality. Spikes make the sub sound "tighter" and stuff in the room doesn't rattle as much. I WOULD recomend spikes though good spikes cost a bit, so i made my own 4 large nails hammered into a solid bit of 1" hardwood it may not sound flashy but it does improve the quality of the bass by making it sound tighter. have a go at making something like that its definetly worth it! justin_tx_16
spikes do a good job, not gong to notice it as much with a promedi asub as with a larger floor standing speaker or sub, but you may notice some. however, placement will improve sound better than spikes. spikes 99% of the time are required to be screwed into the sub, this will void the warranty i believe, physically altering the cabinet should void it at least.
