Dave Redding
I purchased the v.2-400 series last June. They worked great for about three months. Then the left rear developed a popping sound. At that time it seamed to be heat related. I unplugged the unit and let it cool, when I plugged it back in, the popping sound wouldn't start for 4 or 5 minutes. I swapped speaker leads at sub and popping went to right rear. Swapping cord coming to sub from soundblaster Live changed nothing. I run a Computer repair shop and it seems to me that there is a problem with the left rear amp. It barely works at all now. Since I've only had the system for 9 months, is there still a warranty on them. If so, where do I get a RMA? I really like the speakers and would like to recommend them to my more demanding customers. Is overheating or thermal breakdown a common issue with this particular model? Ray Garrison
Start by calling 1-800-klipsch and describing the situation to them. Also, you'll get more timely and knowledgable responses if you post this in the ProMedia section of the board.
