cjb
I have a pair of KG2 speakers. I am purchasing a new amp and would like to know what I can do to test the speakers to make sure they are up to spec. Also what technical characteristics can you provide for compairson with other speakers. Thank you.
Altavoz
Before testing, inspect for tears along the edges of the passive and active woofers. Use a good test CD to check if the drivers are in phase, as well as for individual test tones. The speaker is a two-way, designed for bookshelf use, although oversized for that application. It is 4 ohms nominal impedance, with frequency response of 35 to 20Khz +/- 3db, sensitivity of 90.5 db. Tweeters are not overly bright and provide very good imaging. I can't analogize their sound to any other speaker, but I can attest that they are a great catalyst to audio excellence, regardless of the amplifier that you may choose.
