Sub output signal low on The Fives

Hi, I was attempting to run the fives with a subwoofer and find that the signal to the subwoofer is quite low as compared to the “sub out” from my integrated connected in another system.  Is there a setting to compensate for this?  Or is this a known fact for the low pass signal out.  I know the bass drops at 80hz or so once the cable is connected, but I have to really turn up the gain on the subwoofer to compensate to about 3/4 of the way.  It just feels like something is off in the lower end.  Is it the dynamic bass needing to be engaged?  I usually have it on the new third dynamic bass setting which is more flat(?) when not running the sub.
