A friend of mine sold me a pair of good 8-ohm speakers. What will happen if I connect them to a Promedia 4.1 as front speakers knowing that PM4.1 expects 4-ohm speakers ? skonopa Posted January 8, 2003 Share Posted January 8, 2003 probably nothing, other than the speakers would not be as loud as if they were 4-ohm speakers - that is instead of 60 watts going to each speaker, only 30 watts would. However, if those speakers are really efficient, they should get plenty loud. BTW, what kind of speakers are they?
