Seeking Advice: Building System with Matching Principles

Hey everyone,

I'm new here and admittedly clueless about music and even more about Hi-Fi gear, but I've got this idea and could really use some input.

I'm setting up a new home system and thought it'd be interesting to match manufactures with similar principles—no fluff, just solid physics-backed performance.

For speakers and amp, I'm eyeing the Klipsch Heresy (1) and a Quad 33/303 combo. But when it comes to the record player, headshell/stylus, and cables, I'm a bit lost.

My budget for the player is around 1500€/1600$, and for cables, about 500€/550$. Do the player and other gear need to be from the same era as the speakers/amp? Not necessarily. I'm also open to suggestions for amplifiers.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers,
Max
