Hofy
How many analog and/or digital inputs do you find to fit best? I find the following: Analog: 1. CD 2. Tuner Digital: 1:DVD 2:6 channel stereo 3:Is there anything else?
Bruinsrme
The number of inputs vary according to the equipment My system I have 1 optical Xbox 1 fire wire interface for the DVD 1 digital coax for cable box audio 1 set of rca for cable box It is somewhat embarassing when I look at all the conections and how few I am using. My TV has enought video inputs to wupport all my connections without going through the receiver. The number will vary to fit the particular HT. I think. MrMcGoo
Hofy, It is a good idea to get more inputs than you currently need. When you add another source, you do not have to upgrade your receiver. Currently, I use all three component video inputs on my receiver, and I use four digital audio inputs. Three audio inputs are optical and one is coaxial. I prefer optical cables to cut down on system noise, but optical cables break very easily. CDs allegedly suffer from jitter when optical cable is used, but I cannot detect it. CDs should send a PCM bitstream to the receiver assuming that the receiver has the better DACs. The receiver does bass management. This requires another digital input unless you use a DVD player for CDs. Bill
