romeopapa
Hi guys, I would appreciate some help on this one. I am putting together a reference series HT. My room is 13ft by 30 ft. On of the side walls is open to the rest of my basement starting about 10 ft back. This is making surround placement a little challenging. One soulution that is available is mounting the speakers against the vertical surface of my room's trayed ceilings. This surface is only 6.5 inches tall and would be directly down from the ceiling. My questions are will the speakers fit? Can they be mounted vertically that close to the ceiling and produce good effescts to a seated listener? Can/should they be mounted in a directionally down firng position? Thanks in advance
Jimbo357
Romeo- If you post this thread in the HT section, you will get better feedback. I don't have enough experience to give you the best direction, but there are many on this forum that will help tremendously. Jim
Guest BobG
These models work very well on the rear wall as well. This assumes you are not doing 6.1 or 7.1 as that uses up the rear wall space.
