aaronstella
I've recently come into contact with a good pair of KP-480 18" Subs, the only problem is they seem to be blown. Does anyone know where I can get 2 replacment 18" speakers? Money isn't an object for me unless it's cheaper to buy new ones. Please email me or let me know. -Aaron
baddog
Why don't you consider having them re-coned? It would cost much less and all the moving parts would be new. I have never heard of any down side with a good re-cone job. Mike
DrWho
the only question i would ask is how are they blown? if the only problem is the speaker surrounds, there's plenty of DIY speaker surround repair kits available online (and they even provide clear directions and the tools necessary). but if it's something where they would need to be reconed or the drivers have been shot out, i would send it in to to klipsch or something like that. aaronstella
What does getting them re-coned entail? I called Klipsch and replacment speakers are like $350 each. How much is re-coning and is it difficult if I do it myself? Thanks you guys, Aaron
