mrrolf
Recently I have noticed a problem with my 4.1v2 speakers. The front right speaker goes in and out. (When I say in, I mean normal. When I say out, I mean very low volume with very distorted sound.) I have switched the sattelites around, and it is always the front left one that has problems. I have also bought new wires (monster cable) for the system, and I still have problems. I assume this means it is something in the sub. Since I bought my speakers less than a year ago, I assume they are still under warranty, and could send them in free of charge. But there is a catch... I bought them at Best Buy as the display model. I didn't get the box or anything but the actualy speakers. I think the recepit they gave was also kinda half-assed. What are my options for getting my speakers fixed. Are they still under warranty, or does being the display model void that? Thanks Robbie
Moderators Amy Posted April 10, 2003 Moderators Share Posted April 10, 2003 Swap the green and purple cables in the soundcard. Does the problem stay with the same speaker, or is it now a different one?
mrrolf
ahh, the back right speaker is cutting in and out now. Does that mean it is the cable from my computer to the sub?
Moderators Amy Posted April 10, 2003 Moderators Share Posted April 10, 2003 That means it's your soundcard or software. Try reinstalling drivers, or reseat your soundcard on a different slot of your motherboard.
