ant
Hi. I am not an audiophile so I need some feedbacks. Is it better to enable Dolby Surround Pro Logic II in WinDVD v4.0 and PowerDVD XP? I have a Sound Blaster Live! and an old set of Klipsch Promedia v.2-400 (4.1 setup). I wasn't able to hear the differences with and without Dolby Surround Pro Logic II. Thank you in advance. pinipig523
u shouldve heard a difference with prologic II especially in movies. speech comes directly from the 2 front speakers and not from all 4 speakers if u had otherwise disabled prologic II. also, surround effects would have been more true to how the film-makers would've wanted their movie to sound... without prologicII, all sound comes out on ALL four speakers equally - no depth, no dynamics. u can enable dolby digital decoding (im not sure about s.b. live though) instead of prologic when playing movies - dolby digital is much better than prologic II. I will enable External Pro Logic Processor/Dolby Surround Pro Logic II then. I didn't see Dolby Digital in the WinDVD options though, but I did see a small graphic text saying that in the player.
