VBlaster
I'm trying to set up a "budget" home system for DVD, MP3 and CD and gaming. I have in mind the following: a) Quintet speaker system with KSW 12 woofer. Denon DVR 1601 Receiver (or 1801 if budget allows): Are these well matched to the Klipsch speakers? c) Maybe relegate my extra PC for DVD, MP3, CD and gaming (with ATI Radeon VIVO TV out and either SB Live 5.1 or Phillips Acoustic Edge). Also, my PC DVD Drive is region "freed"...hehe I know Klipsch System 6 synergy speakers are better sounding, but wifey goes for looks (no BIG speakers!). In fact, she was kinda hooked on my Bose acoustimass, until I showed her the Quintet (So Cute!) - Phew! Any comments on the above setup? Appreciate your feedback, please! Thanks! jeffgeorge
Should be a nice set-up. It's good you are going with the KSW-12. You can always upgrade in the future. Way to go... keep the wife happy!! You might be suprised at how much you can get by with when you upgrade a speaker here... a receiver there... etc. Good luck! ------------------ RF-3's : mains RC-3 : center RS-3's : surrounds KSW10 X 2 : subwoofers Receiver: Denon 2801 DVD: Panasonic DVD-A120 CD: Yamaha CDC-765 Cables: Tributaries Sat Receiver: Hughes Direct-TV DD5.
