mrpig
Like others before me, my right rear channel is not working. I tried switching speakers, soundcards, etc. Nothing helps. What can I do to get this fixed? Thanks, Mike
giventofly
What kind of soundcard do you have? Double check the wiring in the back of the sub and the back of the soundcard.
mrpig
SIMPLY AMAZING! This is a forum with knowledgeable Moderators... and my post has sat here for over a week with no real advice. Here is the ugly truth, my friends; if you buy these speakers, you WILL eventually have problems. This is the second woofer/channel problem I have had since purchasing this set a couple of years ago. A friend of mine has RMA'ed his set three times! Another user who posted sent his back FOUR times. I guess what really irritates me is the lack of concern by those who control this forum. So I took the next step and called customer service. This is what they had to say... I received an RMA that will be charged to my credit card for $50, because these speakers are only waranteed for one year. It doesn't stop there. They will only pay return shipping, which means I have to ship them back on my own dime. I'm sure this will cost me an additional $20 or so. Then, I have to wait up to EIGHT WEEKS for them to get repaired!!! So, do the math for yourself before you buy... I have already spent again half of the original purchase price to maintain my sound. Don't fool yourselves... you may too! Continued, next post>>>
mrpig
continued from last post.... In my opinion, it would be worth it to purchase the additional replacement insurance some stores offer, in case you have problems (and you will have problems eventually). This goes for the 5.1 systems too, as they have huge problems as well. So many problems, that Klipsh extended the warrenty for another year. So what! If you are spending $350 bucks on a peripheral, it should last you many trouble-free years. Don't get me wrong, I think there is no better solution out there, as IMHO, there is no better sound available than Klipsch for your system. I just think people need to know what they are getting in to. These speakers have huge flaws and I don't think Klipsh deals with this appropriately. Buyer Beware. Be prepared to open your wallet continually for your sound system. Hey moderators.... wake up! Your flames are welcome and expected.
