SteevieO
I purchased a cheap ($35) Radio Shack decibel meter to help set up my Denon 4802, trying to get the speaker levels the same from the chair I sit in. My question is on the positioning of the microphone (for lack of a better name, the part the sounds comes into the meter). Since I have 2 ears and they are located on the side of my head, how do I position the meter? Do I position it facing front and leave it there for all the speakers? Do I point it at each speaker when doing the tone test?
JewishAMerPrince
According to Avia setup disk the best way to position the RS meter is to aim it at the ceiling in the listening position you will most frequently occupy. This made absolutely no sense to me, but I found that it worked! JR
