kjohnsonhp
QUESTION: Is there potential harm in having an interconnect cable from the AVR pre-amp out laying on the floor not connected to the amp while I have my pre-amp connected to the amp? Should I put some kind of rubber covers on the cable ends? Here is my multi-purpose HT and 2-channel setup using one pair of Cornwalls for both: DVD --> Outlaw Receiver --1----> ST-70 -----\ Klipsch CD & TT --> tube pre-amp -2----> tube amp ----/ Cornwalls I switch between the two swapping cable 1 & 2 connected to the ST-70. Since the ST-70 input cables are on the front, I don't have to access the rear of the equipment...I just have to power down (don't want to blow the rectifier tube).
