kjohnsonhp
I hooked up my like new Sony SACD/CD player today to my Outlaw 1050 with Dynaco ST-70 external tube amp. After listening to Rolling Stones "Let It Blee" and Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon", I have the following impressions: 1. The Stones SACD sounds notably better than my regular CD. I'll be buying all the under $10 SACD Stones CDs I find locally and then selling my regular CD versions. 2. I like the DSOTM multi-channel mix. This is one of the first multi-channel mixes I've liked out of about 10 I've heard from various artists. 3. I will have to do tests to compare the regular CD playback of this machine vs my DVD and 1980's Sony es CD player. 4. I wonder how this $150 used player compares to the $500 Phillips SACD/DVD-V player in SACD and CD performance? More comments to follow.
