daytontp Posted June 3, 2001 Share Posted June 3, 2001 That will only work to a certain degree. The new satelites in the 5.1 system have different connectors on the back of them. There is a post on the 4.1 forum board somewhere, where a moderator mentioned that the 5.1's use spring clips on both ends of all the speaker connections. Clips like those used on the amp side of the 2.1 system and both 4.1 systems. I quess you could use the original wires if you wanted, but I think the new setup will be better. These clips will correct the crackling problem the some ProMedia owners are experincing. I am glad that I am not having problems with my 4.1's.
