Q-Man Posted November 22, 2003 Share Posted November 22, 2003 Anyone have any interest in buying Forte center channel speakers, or almost any other Klipsch model if I was to make them? I see a lot of Klipsch speakers on ebay that could be had, and turned into a center channel speaker by simply building a different shaped cabinet and adding bucking magnets. Some of these boxes would still be big and you would have to be realistic and see if you could fit them in. The idea is simply to have an exact match for your mains. I just happened to be looking at a pair of Forte speakers on ebay that have rather bad cabinets and the passive radiator on the back of the speaker appears to be the same size as the front driver. This would make a symmetrical cabinet if the passive driver was facing forward with the mid and tweeter horns horz. in the middle. This type of build would work for some of the Klipsch older model speakers. Just a thought, and wondering if ther is a market for such a thing.
