B1ackDem0n
I too have the same problem where the 4.1 speakers will not power on. If it was a fuse problem for you can you tell me what I should do to fix it. Thanks
MD1032
Is the warranty still good? If not, replace the fuse yourself! I've heard it's easy.
B1ackDem0n
The warranty is out unfortunately and I'm not sure where the fuse is. Is it where the controls are and what does it look like? I'm not good with this kind of stuff. Thanks.
dukey
hm yeah the internal fuse in mine had blown. Its quite easy to take the amps apart and replace them. However whatever made the fuse blow has bust the amp meaning i've got no power still. So gonna take it to a hi-fi repair shop to see what they can do. Must be worth getting it repaired ... B1ackDem0n
My speakers are still dead... Does tech support even bother looking at these posts? I've seen a lot of posts about dead 4.1's and so far I haven't seen any solutions or replies from tech support.
Rdmarsiii
When you open it up, is there any burnt transistors or anything? Check all the wires and make sure they are firmly in place. Mine were DOA when I got them, but all the wires on the inside were unhooked...
Moderators Amy Posted March 23, 2004 Moderators Share Posted March 23, 2004 It's better to call or email to get direct help from Klipsch support. The bulletin board is mainly for "peer" assistance. We can handle the situation more effectively one on one. The problem with "no power" could be one of a hundred components. If you are under warranty, we will replace it...if not, we can do repairs. B1ackDem0n
Boo to you! It costs too much to repair speakers that I spent $300 on already. Most likely it will die on me again so I'm not gonna bother with it. It's sitting in a box covered with dust now. I'll stick with cheaper speakers like logitech. Woofy
It's a bit expensive to send all the electronic in USA by plane from France for repair! Can you just sell me the power supplie card? Without any guareentee? Because I have made a huge mistake and mine have burned! I'll send a mail to you, I hope you will understand my poor english (sorry), and that when we are student, we cannot afford every times very good speakers!
