Tenn
If you had to choose and with a limited budget which would be best to start a HT system RB75 or RF5 which is a speaker? Thanks
Bill H.
Tenn, If you have the ability, you just need to listen to both. The RB75 is the bookshelf version of the RF7. The RF 5 is excellent also. So it comes down to The amount of room you have, your budget, and listening tastes..........either one is an excellent choice. Good Luck! jzoz01
Personally, I don't care for the look of the rb75s. They rf5s are a much nicer looking speaker and also has much better low end extension, although the rb75 has better high end. As long as you have a good sub, the rb75 should be good, although the rf5 would be much better for music.
itsmyforte
why would anyone choose a bookshelf over a floorstandard? they both take up same amount of space if your putting a bookshelf on a stand. unless they are going to be sitting atop a cabinet of some sort, i would definitely get the RF5's. 5's have a smaller horn than the 7's but they are very nice sounding speakers, more mid and a LOT more bottom out of them for sure.
