speed3 Posted March 12, 2004 Share Posted March 12, 2004 I used to own a pair of 4.5's. I sold them for some Def Tech's and had incredible buyers remorse about 3 months later. The 4.5's are a great speaker for not much $$. New, the MSRP was $800 I believe. I was able to pick them up in black, on sale for $636 in 1995. I had 5.2s ( the .2 series of KGs preceeded the .5 series) that for a long while were used for HT and when I sold them for my references, I did miss the sweeter sounds of the KGs. Fortunatly I was able to pick up a pair of KG 3.5s on closeout and use them strictly in a 2 channel music setup. Great deal? of course that depends on the condition.If the 4.5s that you are considering are in good shape, I would jump on them.
