alonso
Have any of you had the experience of putting a proper pre amplifier between a source, say a stand alone cd player, and a Klipsch promedia set???? im looking at doing that in order to have better control...but the 4.1's for example do have already a tiny preamp right??? What do you think?
doudou
you re right, there is already a pream on all the promedia. the preamp of the promedia allows to set the sub volume for all the promedia, the rear volume(not for the 2.1) and the center volume(only for the 5.1). a real preamp will allow you to set more sharply your promedia. but is it usefull?promedia reproduce quiet good what you send to them.the only problem is that the sub is may be a little bit too powerfull regarding to the sat for the 2.1.it can be solve with the original preamp in the control pod. adding a separate preamp is usefull is the source has a specific timbre or if you want to change the timbre of your speaker(i bet it is not for this, i m sure you would not bought some klipsch ) you can try,it won t damage anything. tell us about your tests
jackson_ngo
even by running my system in 2.1, i can't feel the kick of the 4.1's sub at all.
