SYDC8 Posted July 9, 2001 Share Posted July 9, 2001 Hi. I am trying to connect my klipsch 4.1 speakers to my Sony reciever. (STR-DE845) For the rear speakers, the reciever states that I should use 8-16 ohmes. Since Klipsch Promedia satallites are 4 ohmes each would it harm my speakers or reciever if I connect them? Dan F Posted July 10, 2001 Share Posted July 10, 2001 ProMedia speakers are not a good match for receiver hookup for several reasons. Impedence is one. Bass overload is another. The exception would be if you have line or preamp outputs.
