DIY Sub XO

I am a noob, so please be gentle,

Here is my situation, I recently purchased a TG111 and a Cinema Grand. I am thinking about using an Adcom 5500 for a Adire Tempest sub. The TG has a crossover and sub LFE outs, but do I need a seperate XO? Also, would the tempest Adire alignment be a good sub for a KLF (30's L&R, C-7 center, 20's surround) 5.1 system? My system is in an open family room that measures (18*16*20 h*w*l). I apologize if this should be in the sub forum, but I thought it is more of a processor question.
