slowjoe24
What is the RS-232 plug used for on my new Dennon 2805? Sorry to be so dumb!! Joe
yromj
Most receivers use the RS-232 port to allow for future software updates. This will help prolong the "life" of the receiver in the sense that if an upgrade is required it may very well be possible to perform that upgrade w/ software. dougdrake
I believe the RS-232 is for connecting a remote control system, not for upgrading the software. Check the product flyer/owner's manual.
