coda
Wasn't sure what to expect with a tribute concert, watching the performance is entrancing however, and a trip back in time of sorts for Doors fans even though it was recently recorded, definitely a revelation to anyone who didn't know Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger are still touring. The musicianship is strong here, and Jim's poetry through Ian Astbury comes across as geniunely Morrisonesque. Released a couple of weeks ago, the songs are of course classics.. A very nice live recording, however the audio tracks in the DVD release have even better acoustics and presence IMO.
