easylistener
I am moving a system down in my basement and I want to make another system upstairs. What kind of sound does ATI amps have? Are they warm enough for Klipsch?
InventiveAudio.com
ATI makes nice amps. I would buy a good tube amp instead. It'll give you the clarity and warmth you want. If you're stuck on SS then look into B&K too.
arthurs
second that. ATI you may find a bit bright, but that's my opinion, you should really try to listen to them together before buying. In addition to B&K, perhaps look at Sunfire or Classe for a warmer sound with your speakers.
easylistener
I like tube amps for stereo but a 6.1 surround would get a little expensive. I just can get a deal on one, but have never listened to one.
SteelerFan
I've heard ATI can be bright with Klipsch also, but have not heard the combination myself. I'm using B&K and am very happy with it. Butler Audio makes a 5 channel tube amp(model# 5150 if) you want to go that way. I don't know what the retail is. It's 150 watts per channel which should be plenty with Klipsch.
