soulman
I just got a 52" Mits DLP, the 52525. Awesome TV. I'm using a Toshiba SD-4700 DVD player right now set to 480p. I'm thinking about getting a new player, but is it worth it? Any recommendations? I tend to want not to spend over $300, because soon HD DVD players will be out. (Blu-Ray?) I was looking at the Pioneer DV578AS from onecall.com. It has 12bit/108Mhz video DAC, whereas my Toshiba is 10/54. I this a noticeable upgrade? How about Denons or Mits DVD? Can look at them at the local Magnolia. Thnx for your help. Scott
jzoz01
If you can get a denon 2200 while they are still around they are going fairly cheap right now and are a good solid player. As far a blue ray being around the corner, don't hold your breath, it will be some time before they are going ot be worth jumping into. Initial units will be costly and titles will be few.
