BRsmith Posted October 6, 2004 Share Posted October 6, 2004 hi all, i have had my 4.1s for several years now (maybe 4) and they have worked perfectly up untill the last month or so. lately i am getting a little background static, which doesnt bother me too much, but also they have started making a strange sort of high pitched metallic popping noise. it seems to happen the longer they are on, like maybe something is getting too hot? the noise is so loud and annoying that i can't even really use the speakers any more, and after playing music for more than 5 minutes or so the noise is almost continuous. any ideas? thanks in advance Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Makaveli Posted October 7, 2004 Share Posted October 7, 2004 Hmm, I'm not sure if this would work in your case but taking in consideration you had them for such a long time the metal contacts and plugs might just be dirty.
