Marshal Posted October 10, 2004 Share Posted October 10, 2004 Best Buy has advertised a Pioneer DVD and SACD player that's been marked down to $129.00. I can play everything on my PC BUT SACD. By that I don't mean the Hybrid CD/SACDs, which will play on my HTPC. I've got the Audigy 2 ZS Platinum card and the PM 5.1 Ultras. dougdrake Posted October 11, 2004 Share Posted October 11, 2004 For SACD to play through anything, you need to have 6 analog inputs on your pre-amp/amplification device, as the only format the SACD player will output through is analog. I'm not aware of any PC sound cards that have 6 analog inputs on them, so I think you won't be able to play SACD through your computer.
