johnkenny
Hi, Thanks for looking. I've moved into a new home and am trying to get my audio room set up properly. It is a pain in the neck. Well, I've just about got it right, but am having big problems with the bass. Let me ask you, it will save a big chunk of time and serve as a sanity check. I've been using a pair of Aragon 4004's to bi-amp my speakers. One drives the woofers, the other the midrange & tweeter. I use an Acurus A250 as the subwoofer driver. In my old house, I was sure that the A250 inverted phase and the 4004's did not. Got the best response by wiring the subs out of phase. In this house the opposite seems to be true. I don't know if it is room response or not, so let me ask: Are both the 4004 and A250 phase inverting or non-inverting? It sounds like it should be an easy answer: just listen John, but in this room it is not. Thanks a bunch. John
Trooper
Both amps are non-inverting. Your phase difference between the two houses is being caused by main speaker/sub placement. You can try changing the phase at the speaker or move your sub around.
johnkenny
Thank you, that will take one step out of the process. Have a great day.
