jroden144scu
Question: I'm running the Klipsch ProMedia v.2-400 system on a Windows XP based PC on a Creative Soundblaster Live! value sound card and I usually play my mp3's using Musicmatch Jukebox v 9.x. When I turn the volume up on the Promedias, they begin to distort just a little. I can adjust the system volume through the Creative surround mixer utility, which I usually leave at 100% volume, and I can also adjust the volume in Musicmatch. Should I back off on the system volume or the Musicmatch volume a little, say 80 or 85% and just let the speaker's amp handle the volume? Is this what's causing the slight bit of distortion? They're still rockin after almost 5 years! Forgot to mention I'm using the stock speaker cable, not the upgraded set. TIA jeff
Makaveli
Turn the window volume down to about 70% and the player about 70%. The distortion should go away.
