I won't be using surroud back speakers...just 5.1. This amp has the ability to use the amp provided for the surround backs to use in conjunction with the front amp to bi-amp your front speakers.....with an adjustable crossover network in the receiver!!!! This is insane for the price of this receiver.....plus it uses the same ADE MOSFET used on Pioneer's Elite line...plus it has component video up-conversion..plus...plus....plus.... I'm still learning about this bad boy but so far I'm extremely impressed...espessially for $407 from Best Buy.....(about $375 average on ebay) Enjoy..
