Is there a fuse in the SW-12?

I have an SW-12 that I bought new around 1993-94. I had it hooked up with the speaker-level inputs because my receiver didn't have a sub-out. Since then, I purchased a Dolby Digital receiver that has the Sub-out. I hooked up the line-level input with a Y-adapter, because the receiver only had one output, but I didn't get any sound(after reading through my receiver's manual, I think I didn't have it set up right...). Either way, I started playing around with the level control on the sub, and as I turned it up, I heard a thump, and now it doesn't work at all.

Any ideas? The local Authorized Dealer said it will be $275 just to look at it!!

Welcome to the forum!!

I have a SW-12 II. It has a fuse on the back of the sub. Call Klipsch for support. They can help.

The receiver has to be set up properly for the sub to get a LFE signal. The manual of your receiver will explain the various inputs and settings.
