I wouldn't buy them. If you're looking for good prices on used JBL horns go to the Jammin Jersey website, there's a link to it on mine. DwK Posted August 15, 2001 Author Share Posted August 15, 2001 thank you, I have been considering building dual driver horn loaded speakers. 2 1 or 2 inch tweeters 2 5 inch midranges 2 15 inch woofers this ofcorse would require..... more money than I have... but good or bad idea? What kind of drier would you reccomend for midrange? TBrennan Posted August 15, 2001 Share Posted August 15, 2001 DWK---With a high-quality, aluminum or titanium diaphragmed 1" throat compression driver (on the proper horn) you can cover the range from 500hz right out to the top. Thus you can build a much simpler 2-way. 2 15" woofers matched with a JBL, Altec or Radian compression driver mounted to an Altec 511B horn could make for a most satisfactory system.
