Vavoline
If the corners are 18 ft apart, how far out into the room will the sweet spot be? I hope it's 12 feet from the wall directly between the horns, as I have a chance to pick up a pair local. I have heard the long wall / short wall discussion, but not sure what the verdict was. Thanks for the replies.
DAX616
18' apart given the k horns are 45 DEG will give you a sweet spot of 9' from the wall exactly.
Chris Robinson
Ditto. Since the Klipschorn points out at 45 degrees, you have a 45/45/90 triangle measured at the midpoint of the wall. Therefore, as stated above, the sweet spot is 9 feet out, or 18'/2. Easy calculation! Looks like you have enough room!
Vavoline
Thanks, that's what I needed.
J M O N
Those are the dimensions of the room I had the Khorns in in my previous house. It worked just fine (along the long wall).
Vavoline
Well hell, I just recently (like 3 weeks ago) spent my upgrade money on a new sunfire amp, and cannot make myself spend ROTH IRA money on these, so hopefully someone else may want these. They were refinished, but look pretty good to me. I don't know if 1965 was a particularly good year for Khorns, but they are better than the Khorns I currently have, which is NONE. They are near Weatherford Tx, about 50 miles west of Ft. Worth. Oh yeah, $ 1500 BIN. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=61378&item=5748459871&rd=
