For proper perspective just remember what the degrees stand for: BS bull sh.. MS more sh.. PhD Piled higher and Deeper. This explains why I got an ScD instead of the normal Ph.. Having the paper on the wall, I've got to agree that ultimately it doesn't matter. It's what you can do, not the classes you can pass. With all our troubles, the USA is still a great place where people can find success through hard work and raw smarts, not the social class they come from.
