Buck
Just wondering how many people have experimented or use a combination of SS and tube amplification. I was thinking of bi-amping my RF-7s, going with my Anthem Statement 325W/ch for the low frequencies, and maybe wait till Marks Juicy Music Pcats come out and using one of them for the high frequencies. The problem is, how do you know the appropriate amount of power to put to the highs to balance out the lows?
Colin
I tried Aperion cone towers with s-s powered woofers on an ASL 1003 DT -EL34 tubes - everybody loved the sound, course the Khorns sound much better, even with s-s...
TBrennan
Buck---Many hornys bi-amp with SS and tubes. IME 125 watts on basshorns and 8-15 watts on compression drivers worked well. You balance the highs and lows with the controls on the electronic crossover.
Buck
OK Mark, so all I need is your Lynx. Just like numerous other members, we can't wait to listen to your latest beasts when they are ready.
