jdm56
This is a nice example of a tastefully done surround remix, imo. No lead instruments or voices in the surround channels. BRAVO! Of course, the original recording's sound quality is really nothing to write home about (a bit dry and sterile). I think I actually prefer listening to the 2-channel CD track via my receiver's NEO:6 processing. It just sounds more natural to my ears than either the multi-channel SACD mix, or the unprocessed 2-channel SACD mix.
ottscay
I have to admit that I do like neo:6 processing for 2 channel music. It does produce a pleasantly full sound stage. Especially when you have full-spectrum surrounds, like the rb-35s or (better!) -75s. Scott
jbsl
Usually on SACD and DVD Audio discs I turn down the rear channels and go with 3 channel audio in front. Now for ones like Dark Side of the Moon you have to go with all channels!! Xman
