laptop and promedia speakers

Hi everybody!

I own the 4.1 or 5.1 promedia speakers. They got the sub and four sattelites. Anyways I used to have a desktop that I put 5.1 card in. Now I just bought a laptop and got rid of the desktop. This comp has got some shotty sound card. I already have the sounds split once so I can use two of the four speakers.

My question's are:

Can I split it four ways so I can use all the speakers? If so where can i get something like that?

Can I upgrade laptop sounds cards? External internal anything!

And is there anyway I can use all the speakers on my laptop?

Any suggestions or comments please!

Thanks so much!

Welcome to the forum.

Let me point out that there are other sections lower down the forum homepage: some address issues with Pro Media and yet another which address issues about computers.

If you repost in those areas you will probably get more of a response.

Best,

I have a 7.1 M-Audio Sonica Theater that is external that I use with my Apple. It blows away my Creative Labs Audigy2 plat zs. I would highly reccomend this sound card before you start splitting wires. It costs $99.00 from most retailers. Good luck.
