leok Posted April 20, 2005 Share Posted April 20, 2005 If you like very loud I have no idea. If you like moderate volumes check out Bottlehead 300B designs or other 300B SET amps. I happen to be partial to parallel feed designs. I recommend a 4 Ohm output on the amp. I use a lower power 2A3 amp on more eficient RF-7s and have all the headroom I want. Plus, the quieter stuff, harmonics, room ambience, non-harmonic instrument material sounds are very well defined by the amp's excellent low power capabilities. I listen mostly to classical small ensemble, but the system does well with the large orchestra Living Presence / Living Stereo type selections also.
