wojman
Anybody know what speaker would be better to go with for an in-wall front speaker? The IW-250 has two 6" woofer and the 5800 has one 8" any response would be appreciated. Thanks
formica
Isn't the IW-250 discontinued? I can't really compare those two as unfortunately i haven't heard either one... but that is often the case with inwalls. What will you be using for centre / surrounds? The installation will frequently produce larger performance differences than the actual spec variances. No room for conventional units? Steve W. Bailey
Do you already have the IW-250's and are trying to find rear channel in-walls? The IW-250's were last manufactured back in 2000. The current model Reference Series R-5800-W is the highest performing in-wall speaker and should offer terrific performance.
TheSoundBroker
We just installed a full blown In-wall theater (IW-5800's x 5 with a pair of EarthQuake Thor in-wall subs). The IW-5800's are impressive for an in-wall. I put several pair into my own house which is going to be a Klipsch showcase and just hooking an amp up and running them while construction and remodelign is going on, they sound great.
