miamagsdad Posted June 22, 2005 Share Posted June 22, 2005 Just hooked up my Academy Center but have a problem with the top edge of my Sony 36XBR400. Malcolm Posted June 22, 2005 Share Posted June 22, 2005 I think the Academy is doing the job intended, but perhaps not meeting your expectations. Bucking magnets and shielding will reduce, but not eliminate, troublesome stray magnetic fields that affect your picture. Only simple fix is to reorient the speaker relative to the TV. Sometimes moving the speaker only a few inches is enough to solve the problem. You can try moving it forward or back. You can also try moving it farther away. If this were not a center, I would also suggest trying to rotate it to a different angle relative to the TV. If the center is above the TV, you could try placing it below, and vice versa.
