softwiz
What are the popular testing CD ore DVDs for setting up and testing a home theatre/sound system? Where can they be had? Thanks!
SteveLee
I'd recommend getting a copy of the AVIA Guide to Home Theater DVD. It's a great help for setting up both the audio and video portions of your HT system. You can find it at the usual sources (Amazon.com, etc.), or go directly to the producer: http://www.alphadvd.com/ It's a great resource! avman
once you get it calibrated, and if their music is to your liking, try the dts audio only track 'seven bridges road' from 'eagles-hell freezes over'dvd. i just put up (temporarily on barstools-will mount to wall and calibrate sunday) my ksps-6's. this track has each of the 5 band members singing at the same time, but their individual voice comes out of a dedicated speaker! when you get your speaker levels right, it sounds 'just right' in your primary listening area! i also put in the first 'fire at will' track of 'godzilla'-a GREAT work-out for your rear surrounds, and the rest of your system. avman. ------------------ 1-pair klf 30's c-7 center ksps-6 surrounds sony strda-777ES receiver sony playstation 2 dishnetwork model 7200 dishplayer satellite receiver/digital bitstream recorder pioneer dvd player sharp 35"tv panamax max dbs+5 surge protector/power conditioner monster cable interconnects/12 gua.speaker wire a 'teens' sub coming!
