" how do I connect the stacked Heresy, just run wires from one speaker terminal to the other or run a seperate wire from my amp?"

You can do either.

"I have 4 & 8 Ohm speaker outputs do I stay with 8 Ohm outputs?"

Try both. Two original Heresy will dip down to about 5 ohms around 200hz, it could sound better either way.

"Why do you suggest an additional cap for the top squawker? Do I just add another 2mfd cap and run jumper wires to the existing cap to sum 4mfd?"

An old Heresy with a type E network will need new caps anyway. For the best sound I would replace them with new. Replace the 2µF feeding the tweeter with the same, but connect up to #4 from #3 where it is now. Replace the 2µF from the input to #5 with an 8µF, move the squawker up from #2 to #3, and add a 15 ohm 25W resistor in parallel with the K55V squawker.

The original Heresy woofer is about 95dB/W/1M, the mid and HF are about 98dB. Adding the second woofer increases the sensitivity to about 101dB/2.83V/1M, the tap # changes raise the level of the mids and HF up to 101dB, changing the cap value to 8µF and adding the resistor keep the crossover point the same and smooth out the midrange a bit.

I've done the dual Heresy woofer thing before, it really kicks. I would try the bottom Heresy inverted, the top Heresy upright. This keeps the woofers as close together as possible, and gets the mids and HF up near ear level. I built new dual woofer boxes, made them bigger for porting.

Parts list from Madisound (two each requires, about $10 plus shipping).

Thanks again. One pair has BEC crossovers and the other pair just have new motor run type caps. Do you think the speakers have to be stacked? The reason I ask is the room they are in is not audio friendly. The front two heresy are on stands, and I have two in the rear that have corners to set in, right now doing nothing. Thinking of trying the rear speakers with the tweeter and squawker unhooked. What are your thoughts? Can I do any damage?
