jjhaz@ont.com
How would I bi-wire (bi-amp) the crossover on a Cornwall speaker? I was using a Adcom 555 bridged to 600 watts (I know, I know, they don't need that much power. I then backed off and I'm running each speaker on one amp (one side of the 555 set to stereo) 200 watts. I'm leaving the other side unplugged. Thus basically a 200-watt mono block amp. So I had too much time on my hands and started thinking... what if I split the input signal into the 555 then ran the left side (200) watts for the tweeter and mid horn and right side (200) watts for the woofer. I would still have the cleaner power production of the 555 set to stereo as opposed to the bridged mode and a cleaner signal going to the Cornwall components. Is this crazy or does it make sense? Any thoughts (be kind)? Jeff
