126mhz
Hello all; The is for a bedroom system and space is a PRIME factor. These will fit but I will be driving the speakers I get with a 1962 ALTEC Astro Reciever, (it puts out a little over twenty watts a side) so I will need somethng fairly efficient. I can't find any specs. on these EPOS speakers Thanks
Bill H.
Here are the specs on these.......... Won't it take a really efficientreceiver/or amp to run speakers a 4 Ohms.? I hope you enjoy them. If I may- a pair of RF35'swould take up the same amount of space, and cost less.........(i.e. 700 vs 800 (usually found for (600)...........Just an Idea.Technical Specification RF 35 FREQUENCY RESPONSE:37Hz-20kHz ±3dB POWER HANDLING:125 w max continuous (500 w peak) SENSITIVITY:98dB @ 2.83 volts/1 meter NOMINAL IMPEDANCE:8 ohms compatible CROSSOVER FREQUENCY:2600Hz TWEETER:K-137 1" (2.54cm) Titanium dome compression driver HIGH FREQUENCY HORN:6" square 90°x60° Tractrix® Horn WOOFER:Two K-1122-OB 8" (20.32cm) Cerametallic® cone / cast polymer frame ENCLOSURE MATERIAL:MDF ENCLOSURE TYPE:Bass reflex via rear-firing port INPUT CONNECTIONS:2 sets of binding post speaker terminals (connected via brass strap jumpers) DIMENSIONS:40.9" (103.9cm) x 9.25" (23.5cm) x 14.8" (37.6cm) Power Handling 200 Watts Max EPOS 303Frequency Response 48Hz - 20kHz Impedance 4 Ohms Nominal Sensitivity 87dB/1 watt/1 metre Amplifier Compatibility 50 - 200 Watt Configuration 2 1/2 Way Finish vinyl wrap Weight 10kg Size W x H x D (mm)850 x 175 x
126mhz
Thanks for both the specs on EPOS as well as the RF35 kilpsch. I'll admit I hadn't thought ab out the RF35 out of ignorance. I didn't even think Klipsch made anything that would fit my application. here in Portland, Oregon a place called Echo audio sells EPOS and you can pick up a pair of the 303's for $595.00. I have bought a fair amount of gear from Kirt, (at Echo) and thinking about the EPOS. I don't however think they will be effecient enough for my application.
