MTMT
Noticed that the iFi base has 'cutouts' to mount on walls. Excellent. We're looking to mount ours permanently. Question: Should we mount the satellites: 1. On the wall at ear level away from the celing corners, and pointed out horizontally? 2. At the ceiling/wall corner, and angled downwards towards one of the listening position? Incidentally, how good is the tweeter disperson on the iFi compared to high end bookshelf speakers? Would really appreciate any knowledgeable response. Failing that, any informed conjecture.... Thanks! MTMT
TwoHeadedBoy
I went with your second option--spaced about 7 1/2 feet apart and angled downwards--and i think it sounds fantastic.
MTMT
Thanks. Anyone else tried both position? The deal with parallel to the floor is that the cones would extend out 'indefinitely' across the room at ear level. Angeled down from the ceiling corner, there's only one spot where the cone would be pointed to. The results then depends on how good the dispersion is. Am I making sense? Anyways, I'm tempted to try it out at ear level. Thanks, MTMT

The 3/4 " horn tweeter has a slight roll off on the very high end that can be improved by not having the speaker grill on, or simply tweaking the EQ up a bit. But this is all subjective, you might find that a "flat setting" is perfect at a reasonable volume. The iFi 2.1 system has a very nice natural sound.
