Mike C
I have KLF 10's Main RC-3 Center RS-3 Surround I want to upgrade to 7.1 but have to use wall or ceiling speakers. What Klipsch wall/ceiling speakers will tonally match these? In addition: I have been searching around the AV forums and have not encountered this potential setup. I have the Outlaw 950 pre/pro with a newly acquired Adcom GFA 7607. I will not always want to use the full 7.1 so I am wondering if there is a way that I could utilize 2 channels on the amp as BOTH a 2ch output for a second zone via the Multizone and, when desired, use the Back Surround outputs from the 950 for full 7 ch sound. My initial thoughts on this were to send the multizone signal to another preamp, then to the desired channels on the Adcom. But how can I also choose between 2 ch and/or full 7 ch in the main room. Any ideas. I am thinking of some type of switch but don't understand how to share those channels between the Outlaw Back surround outs and the Multizone or other line level? output. Does the Tape Loop figure into this. Please advise, I have money to spend on additional quality equipment if necessary.
bhendrix
Welcome, Mike. The answer to your question depends on which, among your current speakers, you wish to match. The "matched" center channel for your KLF-10's is a KLF-C7. No surrounds were specifically designed for the 10's. The "matched" fronts for your RC-3 and RS-3 would be either the RB-3 (or5), or RF-3. The in-wall speakers that match the RC-3/RS-3 would be the RCW-5 and the in-ceiling match would be the RCR-5.
