SCOOTERDOG
Ok I asked for some help on installing carpet on the stage with a radius. Looks like everyone is in the same boat as me when it comes to figuring it out. I contacted one of our clients that ownes a flooring company today. He said that the best thing is to make sure you always add a 1.5" lip(makes total sense to me), Gee wish I thought of that. Anyway he suggested I try and add a lip using chair rail or 1.25" "L". Well couldn't find the size chair rail so I went with the "L" type, 12' long and an 8' long. Since I have a pretty good radius I soaked the wood for about 3 hours to help it with the bend. Worked like a charm and I was able to roll the carpet up under it and staple it into place. I only have to run the face now which I will do tomorrow. Whats this all mean? Make sure if you plan on building a stage that you run your plywood 1.5" over the edge so you have a lip to staple the carpet to. That's my word of advice to all of you. Ok it's someone elses turn now scooter
